About Me

Hi!  I'm Cat.  I live in South East Saskatchewan with my husband Brett.  We lead a very busy life, and I'd like to use this space to document everything from the little daily things that make me happy, to the big exciting adventures that we find ourselves on from time to time.

We both work at a potash mine located approximately 50km from our home - Brett as a long-term hire (process engineer), and myself, as a temporary hire (administrator) for an expansion project that is expected to wrap up late 2013.

We moved down here from Saskatoon, SK in May 2010.  Brett had just finished university, and was immediatly hired for his current job.  So we bought our house, packed up and moved down to Moosomin, SK.

At that time I still had a couple years left in a university degree that I had been taking my sweet time with - I was in no rush to graduate.  So I decided not to return to Saskatoon to finish school , and we've been happily building our relationship and our home ever since.

In June of 2010, we welcomed our Brittany Spaniel, Molly, into our lives.  She is such a joy to be around.  We love her with all our hearts and she loves us back with her entire being.  Molly, is an incredibly kind and loving dog.  But my goodness is she tough to keep up with sometimes - note-to-self,  if we ever get another dog, it will be one with less energy!  Energy level aside, Molly has a great personality and we find it hard to imagine our lives with out her.

On New Years Eve 2011, while on a trip to Boston, we got engaged!  For Brett's birthday (in November of 2010), I bought us tickets to see our first NFL game, New England Patriots v. Miami Dolphins, 02/01/11.  Brett proposed on New Years Eve in Boston Common, and I said YES!

We got married on February 14th, 2012.  Not only is February 14th Valentine's Day, but it is also my birthday.  So this will be a very celebratory day for us in the years to come.

We are enjoying our lives as newly weds.  Balancing work, a home, a dog, and plans for the future is a daily wonder. We all have our great and not-so-great days, and through this I hope to document our lives as they unfold.
